Sport has been a part of my life since I can remember...running my first 5k with my mom in the 1st grade, competitive figure skating, cheering, running track and a very short stint with lacrosse...(hand-eye coordination isn't exactly my thing). Towards the end of college I started running long(er) distance races. Natural progression was the sprint triathlons...then 70.3's and in 2010 THE Ironman. 4 years and 4 Ironman finishes later, I have learned the art of juggling home, social life, work and in 2012 qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. While I am incredibly passionate about the triathlon lifestyle I understand the importance of balance. I am not the most genetically gifted athlete I am incredibly dedicated and embrace the power (and therefore the benefits) of hard work.
