Quick and dirty trick #1 SOCKS!

Ever have 'those' pair of socks?...hot spots on the balls of your feet, blister, just plain rub the wrong way?  Nice enough for the shorter runs, not good enough for the longer ones?  Sharpe them!  Yes sir, place a big 'ol X on the heel/bottom of the sock.  That way on your next long run you'll know not to stink up your kicks with 'those' socks.
